"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science"
-- Albert Einstein

A safe, professional approach to ancient healing practices.

How does Reiki affect healing?
Reiki (pronounced: ray-key) is an ancient, Tibetan healing art that can be traced back over 2,500 years. It is the art and science of utilizing universal life force energy to promote spiritual, mental, and physical well being.

In a Reiki session, energy is transferred through the practitioner's hands to the client in a series of positions to restore the body's energy to equilibrium and enhance the body's natural healing ability.

What are the benefits of Reiki?
Reiki techniques can:
  • Lower blood pressure
  • Reduce heart rate
  • Decrease stress levels
  • Induce relaxation
  • Restore balance
  • Increase vitality
  • Calm and center
  • Relieve anxiety
  • Speed the healing process

How do I find a Reiki practitioner?
The Reiki Association states that a good Reiki practitioner, " ...uses Reiki on a regular basis, including treating themselves." These practitioners will have at least one year's experience and have attained First Degree Reiki.

Good Reiki practitioners offer neither a diagnosis nor the promise of a cure or specific outcome. They will not give advice they are untrained to give. Reiki healing is a process; how much change to expect differs from individual to individual.

If you are still concerned, find out:
  • The practitioner's specific training and experience with Reiki.
  • The names and phone numbers of others the practitioner has treated. Call these people to discuss their experiences with the particular practitioner.

Reiki Training - Energy Medicine
Reiki Master/Teacher Elizabeth Williams, RN, APRN, brings more than 20 years in the healing arts to teaching others the principles and techniques of this ancient healing art.

Reiki I covers introduction, basic hand positions, treatment procedures for physical healing, as well as the attunement to the first level of energy. Class includes time for hands-on practice as well as a textbook.

Reiki II: Prerequisite for this class is a prior Reiki level I class at least 28 days prior to taking this second level class. Building on the knowledge of Reiki I, Reiki II adds the ancient Tibetan symbols used to direct the healing energy more specifically. During this session, we will also learn to use Reiki as a tool for distance healing, as well as discover specific treatments for emotional healing. Reiki II challenges the practitioner to be a clearer and stronger conduit for this wonderful healing energy. It also allows more resources for the practitioner, to work on themselves and others.
